Finally a brief word about New Orleans. As the handle to the three pronged fork of Country, Urban, and British blues, New Orleans spurned its own styles of blues and jazz. A busy port at the end of the Mississippi and en route to the West Indies, amongst other places, the eclectic mix of music created a scene unlike any other. This special place deserves this brief mention of its own.
