THE BLUES EXPLOSION - DAMAGE

Formerly known as the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, I rate this album above everything else they have done, this takes the blues on an adventure into new territory. From the head shakingly feel good energy of the opening track, to the lonesome floating melodies on Spoiled, this is a superb album. Elements of hip hop and experimental fx used with discretion have created a true blues album for the coming decade. I only hope that it is not only these guys that build on it but that a whole new generation of blues explodes from its seed.
