PIANO
The piano played no part in the earliest years of blues music, but as the blues moved from the streets, fields, and porches, and into clubs and music halls painists began to play along and soon became a well established hub for blues bands from Mississippi to Chicago. Like the guitar the piano has a good range of notes and can play polyphonic (more than one note at a time) chords and rythmic melody. It also carries a greater volume, although most pianos lack the one key blues element that the guitar has, that is the ability to bend notes.
